Do I need any dance experience to join?

Absolutely not! Our "Intro to Kiz" workshops are tailored for beginners. We make learning to dance fun and easy, ensuring you'll gain confidence on the dance floor swiftly.

What should I wear?

Comfort is key! Wear clothes that allow to you move freely such as jeans, leggings, t-shirts, or activewear etc. For footwear, choose comfortable shoes which secure to your feet (avoid slip-ons) to facility easy movement, however, please avoid hiking boots and shoes with a lot of grip. If you can spin on tiles or wood floor at home, then they're perfect.

Do I have to bring a dance partner?

No Partner? No Problem! Most of our attendees come alone. We encourage everyone in the workshop to rotate partners anyway because this provides everyone the opportunity to dance and connect an in inclusive space.

Who typically attends your workshops and events?

Our workshops and events attract a diverse range of people aged between 18 to 45, including singles, couples and groups of friends or colleagues. Everyone is welcome, whether you're stepping onto the dance floor or the first time or looking to refine your moves.

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself, comfortable clothing, non-grip shoes and a water bottle to stay hydrated.

 We take care of the rest.

Where are your workshops and events held?

We are at a beautiful air-condition studio located on the 1st floor at 74 Vulture Street, Brisbane, right beside the Tiki Bar & Lounge. Look for the entrance ( yellow glass door that says Yoga ) and head up the stairs.

What am I to expect at your social dance events?

Expect a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere perfect for practicing your moves, meeting new fiends and enjoying all different types of Latin Rhythms including but not limited to Kizomba, Bachata and Brazilian Zouk (50% of the Zouk and Kizomba is Kizouk which can be danced either style. The helps ensure less time waiting between styles). It's the ideal mix of learning and leisure!

How can this help me feel more confident dancing in public?

Our structured workshops and private lessons are designed to comfortably build your skills progressively, which will boost your confidence step-by-step. Our social evenings further provide a nurturing environment to enjoy, practice and hone your skills.

Is dancing at the studio suitable for everyone?

Yes, our doors are open to all, regardless of age or dancing proficiency. Don't hesitate to join us solo or with friends - all are welcome here for a fantastic dancing experience.
