Douceur

Dancing-Kizomba-Fusion.png

Douceur, meaning 'sweet' or 'candy' in French, is often regarded as a variant of Kizomba, yet it closely resembles a blend of Tarraxa and Tarraxo styles. This dance form is typically performed to Tarraxo music, characterised by a tempo of fewer than 96 beats per minute.

The dance incorporates a dynamic interplay of pushing and pulling movements, where dancers frequently alternate leading roles. These movements are subtly executed with a mix of energy, emotional expression, and minimal yet deliberate body gestures, reminiscent of the advanced techniques seen in Kizomba.

While complex patterns are not necessary for establishing a connection, body isolations become crucial, similar to those in Tarraxa. Nonetheless, the overall execution mirrors the styles of both Tarraxo and Kizomba.
